Category: orion telescope

Whether you're a solo stargazer or have a family eager to discover the night sky, the Orion Observer 134mm EQ Reflector Telescope will provide an excellent starting point for your astronomical adventures. With its 134mm (5.3") parabolic primary mirror and 650mm focal length (f/4.9), this telescope offers a wide field of view for bright, sharp images of the lunar surface, Saturn's rings, and deep-sky objects like the Lagoon and Orion nebulas, as well as the Andromeda galaxy, to name just a few.

Supported on a sturdy EQ3-class equatorial mount with an adjustable aluminum tripod and a roomy accessory tray, the optical tube can be quickly detached from the mount using the Vixen-style dovetail mounting system, making it easy to set up and transport. The tube is cradled in a pair of felt-lined rings, which can be loosened to allow for comfortable rotation and positioning of the focuser. Dual slow-motion cables enable manual tracking of celestial objects as they move across the night sky.

Included with the telescope are two quality 1.25" Plossl eyepieces: a 25mm for low-power views at 26x magnification, and a 10mm for higher-power observations at 65x. Both eyepieces feature anti-reflection coatings for exceptional light transmission, and their barrels are threaded to accept optional Orion filters. The precision rack-and-pinion focuser allows you to dial in the perfect focus with ease.

Rounding out the accessory set is a 6x30 crosshair finder scope, which helps you locate and center your target of interest. The entire setup weighs just over 18 lbs., which is hefty enough to provide steady images even in a light breeze, yet light enough to comfortably carry out to the backyard when the stars come out.

Whether you're a serious beginner or an intermediate stargazer, this capable equatorial reflector telescope will provide an exciting window into the many wonders of the night sky. Its 134mm parabolic mirror and 650mm focal length deliver sharp, wide-field views, while the sturdy EQ3-class mount and included accessories make it a well-rounded and versatile choice for backyard astronomy.
